So it's official, Microsoft has bought Skype for 8.5 billion dollars! Skype will become in a few months a full-fledged division in the American giant.
Big blow to Microsoft who should, according to the Wall Street Journal, announced today the acquisition of Skype for about 7 or 8 billion dollars! This would be for the U.S. giant, the biggest acquisition in its history since the purchase of aQuantive in 2007 to $ 6 billion. Even if Skype is not the goose that lays golden eggs, the VoIP service could greatly integrated into various tools and services from Microsoft to arrive at a certain value.
