Amazon Launches Kindle cheaper
Amazon’s latest Kindle has found a home in so many commuters bags because it was an e-reader that finally struck that balance perfectly between quality and price. Now Amazon is looking to push that latter point even further, as a new scheme has allowed it to knock $25 off the WiFi only model in the States.
As of the 3rd of May, punters in the US will be able to pick up the base WiFi model for $114, rather than $139. The caveat of this is what Amazon’s calling ‘Special Offers’ a series of ads that’ll appear as screensavers and within menus, although thankfully not whole reading.....

The good news is that the ads may actually be of use; Amazon’s using software called AdMash to let users vote on good and bad offers, which will hopefully tailor them to your tastes. The initial offers are Amazon gift voucher deals, a $1 Amazon MP3 album coupon and book credit sponsored by Visa.
