We have been hearing different rumors about the Motorola Droid 3 since March, but we have found some new confirmed details today on the sucessor to the Droid 2.The guys over at TechnoBuffalo have been informed by a reliable tipster of several new features on the Droid 3. This device sports a 4-inch qHD screen, a new fifth row of keys dedicated solely to numbers, a 8 Megapixel camera in the rear and a 1.3 Megapixel camera in the front. The processor is still uncertain and is expected to be either the NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor or Texas Instruments’ OMAP4430 dual-core processor.
The tipster also said that the device is headed for a June release, but will not have LTE speeds. This is quite a surprise since Verizon has been really promoting its LTE network lately. Droid fans will be disappointed that it doesn’t contain the lightning fast speeds of LTE, but nonetheless it is still a powerful phone. We will keep you updated on the status of the phone.
