Motorola Plans For Intentions To Update Atrix To Gingerbread
Available in the U.S. for over a month now, the Motorola Atrix (4G in the U.S., sans 4G in Europe) was just launched in the U.K. on May 3 with carrier availability on Orange planned for today, May 4. Andrew Morley, Vice President of International Marketing at Motorola, told ElectricPig when asked about plans for an Android 2.3 Gingerbread update that they
"haven't announced timings but we have announced plans for the intentions".
The Motorola Atrix, despite its powerful internals, is still running Google Android 2.2 Froyo but plans for a Gingerbread update indeed exist and even more, Motorola plans a simultaneous roll-out of the platform refresh both in the U.S. and U.K.
