Motorola and Sprint Announce XPRT and Titanium
Sprint and Motorola unveil two Android-powered smartphones today, the Motorola XPRT and the Motorola Titanium, both having a candy-bar form-factor with a hardware QWERTY keyboard, addressing the business user.
The Motorola XPRT (on the left) is running Android 2.2 Froyo with the latest version of Motorola's own MOTOBLUR and is a world phone. It features a 3.1-inch HVGA 320x480 display, full QWERTY keyboard and a 1GHz processor.
There's a five-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR1, Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS, 2GB ROM, 512MB RAM, microSD slot with 2GB microSD card included and support for up to 32GB total. It is powered by a 1860 mAh Lithium-ion battery with advertised talk time of up to 9 hours.
The Motorola Titanium is rugged, meeting "Military Specification 810G for dust, shock, vibration, low pressure, solar radiation, high temperature and low temperature". It runs Android 2.1 Éclair and packs a 3.1-inch 320x480 HVGA touchscreen display, five-megapixel camera with 4x zoom and flash, microSD slot with a 2GB memory card included, supporting up to 32GB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR1, GPS and a battery of 1820 mAh.
The Motorola XPRT will be available starting June 5 for $129.99 with a new line or eligible upgrade and two-year service agreement. As far as the Titanium is concerned, pricing and availability will be unveiled at a later date.
