Youtube encodes WebM
As announced, YouTube started encoding videos uploaded free format and Grau WebM. According to his blog, videos representing 99% of the frames on the site, about 30% of all YouTube videos are already encoded in the format in question! For now, this codec is supported by Chrome past year, and also Internet Explorer 9 via a recent plugin.
