Google this "guru", your new friend on Google Talk!

Google offers to add a new contact to your list of friends on Google Talk. His name? "guru". His mission? Be omniscient! His nature? Virtual. An answering machine or ChatBot chat sum that has many qualities and can be very useful!
So here is the latest gadget from Google, a small ChatBot to add to your Google Talk contact list and who can meet certain predefined types of questions. The result is not impressive in terms of artificial intelligence, but may prove quite useful. Here's a list of proposed features:....

• "scoring team of your choice" will answer the latest sports scores and schedules of upcoming games for your favorite team.

• "weather city of your choice" will give you the latest weather information on the selected city.

• "define word of your choice" will give you the definition of the word (in English only)

• "translate words to be translated from source language to target language" will make you an instant Google translation of the sentence

• "Web Search" will give you the description of the first Google results for your search terms

So revolutionary? Probably not but it may be convenient in particular the translation and definition of research that can save some time.

To start using Google Talk Guru:

1. Sign into a chat client that supports Google Talk

2. Send a chat invitation to guru@googlelabs.com or click the link "Sign in and invite myself to chat with Guru" at the bottom of this page.

3. Find guru in your contact list and send chat queries to guruusing the examples below:
